RATIOS — Rescue, Awareness, Tracking, Identification, Outreach, Safety — supports individuals with developmental, cognitive, intellectual, communication, memory-related, and physical disabilities who may be at risk of wandering or difficulty communicating in an emergency.
RATIOS began after Desirae’s husband encountered a non-verbal adult with Down syndrome wandering alone. The experience made clear how important identification, caregiver information, and community education are when someone cannot explain who they are or where they belong.
Desirae is building RATIOS as a dignity-centered, family-focused organization for multicultural communities, caregivers, schools, and first responders.

To provide identification resources, awareness education, safety planning, and recovery support for individuals at risk of wandering or communication barriers.
Communities where every person is recognized, protected, and safely returned with dignity.
Dignity, inclusion, compassion, preparedness, cultural awareness, and respect for every one-of-one person.
