RATIOS provides identification resources, safety education, recovery tools, and community awareness for individuals who may be at risk of wandering, elopement, abandonment, or difficulty communicating during an emergency.

RATIOS was inspired after founder Desirae Grissom’s husband encountered a non-verbal adult with Down syndrome who was wandering alone. That moment showed how quickly a person can become vulnerable when they cannot clearly communicate their name, needs, location, or caregiver information.
RATIOS was created to close that gap with practical identification tools, caregiver support, awareness campaigns, and training that helps communities respond with urgency and respect.
